Our Provisional Detailed Route:
DAY 1 – LONDON TO COQUELLES
· Gresham St across London Bridge
· Straight on to Borough tube, where TL into Great Dover St, follow signs for A2
· Stay on A2 thro' New Cross to Blackheath
· In Blackheath, at roundabout go straight on following signs for A207 rather than A2
· Stay on A207 till Dartford
· Exit Dartford past Priory Shopping Centre onto Lowfield St., then
· Take A225 to Farningham
· In Farningham TL on to A20
· Stay on A20 through Maidstone and Ashford until
· Pedlinge, where TR onto A261 to Hythe
· In Hythe follow signs for Folkestone, A259
· In Folkestone, go into centre & find signs for B2011, Dover (Hill Road)
· Take B2011 to Dover, NOT A20
· Then follow signs for ferry
· In Coquelles, follow map (Rue de Quay de la Loire à TR Rue Mollien à TL Bd Jacquard à TR Leon Gambetta à SO Av Roger Salenegro à SO Av CDG)
DAY 2 – COQUELLES TO ABBEVILLE
· TR on to Av Charles de Gaulle
· At end TL on to D215 (Guines)
· At jcn with D231 TL on to D231 then immediately TR on to D127
· Pass thro' Fiennes, tricky road jcn just after le Wast, but stay on D127, continue to Desvres
· In Desvres stay on D127 till end, then TL on to D341, but v soon TR on to D343, passing thro' Hucqueliers and Maninghem
· In Henoville, TR on to D108 (probably signposted for Embry)
· Stay on D108 until road ends, where TR on to D928 to Hesdin
· In Hesdin stay on D928 (probably signposted La Boisle)
· Stay on D928 to Abbeville, where:
o Road meets D1001, stay on D1001 at 1st major roundabout, taking 4th exit along Bd de la Republique
o Stay on D1001 at next roundabout, 3rd exit along Av de General Leclerc
o Stay on D1001 at next roundabout, 3rd exit along Route d'Amien. Hotel at number 234
DAY 3 – ABBEVILLE TO CHAMBLY
· Leave on D1001 heading out of town
· At 1st roundabout, TR on to D901 to Airanes
· In Airanes, just after centre, TL on to D38 to Conty (passing thro' Molliens-Dreil, Quevauvillers, Namps-au-Val)
· In Conty, TL on to D109
· In Monsures, TR on to D4109 to Croissy-sur-Celle
· In Croissy-sur-Celle TR on to D11 to Auchy-la-Montagne, passing thro' Le Crocq and Francastel
· In Auchy-la-Montagne TL on to D9 to Lafraye
· Go thro' centre of Lafraye and TL on to D34 to Hermes (passing thro' Fouquerolles, Bresles)
· Just before Hermes, TR on to D125, go thro' Longueil
· At jcn with D1001, TL
· CHOICE at this point, either
o Stay on D1001 all the way to Chambly,
· OR, if it looks busy, do the following:
o In Noailles, TL on to D44, go thro' Cauvigny, Ully-St-Georges
o TR on to D929 to Neuilly-en-Thelle
o Go thro' Neuilly-en-Thelle, and TR on to D49 to Chambly
o In Chambly, go to end of D49, TR on to D924
o TL on to D105
o SO at roundabout
DAY 4 – CHAMBLY TO PARIS
· Leave Chambly on the D1001 to Persan
· Just after Persan TR on to the D922 to L'Isle-Adam
· Stay on D922 to Mery-sur-Oise, where TL on to D928 towards Bessancourt
· In Bessancourt TR towards A115, but before reach it, TL on to D502
· In La Croix Rouge TR on to D407
· Keep going SO, ignoring road numbers & signs until meet D392, where TL towards Bezons
· In Bezons complicated road jcn, but take N192, Pl de Bezons à Bd Ch de Gaulle
· At La Garenne Columbes, TL on to Bd de la Republique, stay on that road across the river, thro' Neuilly-sur-Seine, across Peripherique, until TR on to Av de Wagram, that takes you to Arc de Triomphe (road goes Bd de la Republique à Bd de Verdun à Bd Bineau)
